Bring the apocalypse in this game

Lucius III is a video game from Shiver Games. As the name suggests, this is the third installment to the horror game franchise Lucifer. In this game, Lucifer is back in his old neighborhood. He is bent on bringing about the apocalypse to the world.

As with its predecessors, Lucius III lets you go on an adventure inside an open world. You can also experience an atmospheric and detailed environment from the perspective of the villain protagonist as he tries to solve puzzles. However, you will find the game buggy with constant frame drops. Some mechanics also doesn't work.

What is Lucius III?

Lucius III is the conclusion to the Lucifer series. In this game, Lucifer is back in the town of Winter Hill. Together with his sole follower, Detective Jack McGuffin, you will complete your mission of opening the seven seals on the Sacred Roll. However, to open the seals, you will need to find four people who meet the criteria of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

To track down the Four Horsemen, you will roam the open-world map and search homes for clues. In doing so, you will investigate their past and secrets as you talk to the inhabitants. Of course, since you are Lucifer, you will kill them. This means you have to work out a killing sequence through personal research and some puzzle solving.

The game comes with seven chapters with one tutorial. It also offers an engaging storyline and dialogues set in an atmospheric environment. Besides the main campaign, there are a couple of side quests that you can do. There are also two endings that you can explore. However, as mentioned, the game suffers from bugs, including characters floating in the air or stuck on the ground. The app also often lags.

Is the game good?

Overall, Lucius III offers a good conclusion to the Lucius series. The game has an engaging story that you can explore in seven chapters. It also comes with many locations you can discover as you solve puzzles. That said, the game is far from perfect. It has lots of bugs that sometimes stop some mechanics from working. These bugs also often force you to restart chapters.
